New London Hostel and a Contest to Get You There

March 4, 2008

Hostelling International has announced the opening of a new London hostel, situated in the West End. Their press release states:

London Central

“The doors opened this week at a brand new £4.3million Youth Hostel in the heart of the West End – YHA London Central. Aimed firmly at the youth market, this bright and contemporary 296 bed property on Bolsover Street is situated in the City of Westminster, minutes from Oxford Street and just a mile from the new Eurostar service into St.Pancras.

It incorporates 59 modern en-suite bedrooms with individual security lockers and key card access. Guests also have use of laundry facilities, a luggage store and a 24 hr reception desk.

On the ground floor, there is a stylish and informal café/bar, which offers organic wines, beers and beverages as well as home-cooked British food. There’s also internet access, via state of the art broadband connections and a travel desk for information and tickets. Beds start at £14.95 a night for under 18s and £18.95 for adults.”

This is an excellent location if you want to be steps away from some of the best theater productions in the world. Who knows? Daniel Radcliffe might just decide to strip down for another shocking role someday, or maybe you can catch Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, or another A-List celeb hit the boards.

You can enter for a chance to win a YHA trip to Britain, and check out their Liverpool 08 campaign. Liverpool as a European Capital of Culture? This I’d like to see for myself.

If you don’t win, visit our cute and helpful Travel CUTS buddies to get hooked up with a student airfare, hostel membership and discounts, and other budget-friendly travel tools.
